An exciting opportunity has become available within the Retail Team at Watford Football Club. We are looking to recruit a Retail Store Manager to be a part of a forward-thinking team responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers and fanbase in both of our retail shops.
You will play a key role in managing all aspects of the day to day running and commercial development of the Retail Store(s) and kiosks. To exceed all company set KPIs, operate a safe and compliant environment and deliver a world class retail environment, with inspirational customer service.
The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and be flexible to the requirements of the position and the business.
Applicants should ideally live local to Watford or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit, and ideally have experience working within a similar role.
You must have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a professional retail environment in a management or supervisor role
- Experience of managing and leading a team to deliver success
- Experience with visual merchandising
- Good knowledge and understanding of retail processes and systems
- A good understanding of Microsoft Programmes
- Strong understanding of buying and sourcing merchandise
- Ability to build and maintain internal and supplier relationships
- Experience of stock control management and processes
- Numerate and ability to understand and act on complex reports
- Outstanding Customer Service and Communication Skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy team
- Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to various locations due to the demands of the role
- Understanding of the club's commitment to EDI & Safeguarding
- The necessary Disclosure and Barring Service check will apply to this post
You would ideally have, but not vital:
- A degree in Business Studies or similar
- Previous E-Commerce Experience
- Retail Store Management Experience within the Football Industry
