Watford-born defender Ryan Andrews joined the Hornets’ Academy way back in 2012.

The defender - son of former Golden Boy Wayne - signed his first professional terms with the club in May 2022.

After establishing himself as a regular for the Under-18s, and then the Under-21s, Andrews was handed his first-team debut as a second-half substitute against Reading in the Emirates FA Cup in January 2023.

He went on to feature in the Sky Bet Championship for the first time away to Coventry City that April, finishing the 2022/23 season with seven senior appearances to his name in all competitions.

Andrews began the following season brightly for the first-team, scoring his first professional goal for his boyhood club against Birmingham City in the Sky Bet Championship in September 2023.

The right-back became a regular in Watford colours, making 44 apprearances in all across the 2023/24 campaign.

He scored three times, including the winner in the 1-0 victory over Sunderland at Vicarage Road in April, which handed Tom Cleverley his first home win as Head Coach.

Internationally, Andrews has represented England at Under-20 level.
