Reaction: Morris On Plymouth Point

James Morris spoke to watfordfc.com following an entertaining 3-3 draw with Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.

The 22-year-old left-back, making his second consecutive start following a 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Friday, played the full 90 minutes in wet and windy conditions.

Busy in attack and defence, the Hornets went ahead through Edo Kayembe before Finn Azaz levelled the scores with a fine finish outside the box.

Morgan Whittaker’s goal was then cancelled out by an Ismaël Koné equaliser, with Ryan Hardie sending the hosts into the break with a one-goal advantage, until Ryan Andrews’ second-half goal split the points evenly.

Read what Morris had to say below…

I think it’s a good point away. The main thing is not to lose - don’t lose away games and at home win as many as you can - I think that sets you up well.

Obviously, it’s a tough game to come here, and then you add in the conditions. It didn’t stop raining throughout the entire game. I think the boys did well, dug in deep, and to get a point after being a goal down twice, it’s great mentality from the boys.

I’m sure for the neutral it’s probably great to watch. I think that’s part of the game, we should have tried to control it more instead of it being so end-to-end.

If we could have kept them in their own half, then maybe we would have had a bit more joy. Like I said, it’s a great point on the road.

I’m loving [being back in the side]. Obviously, I had a few months without playing and now I’ve played two games in three days. It's great, it’s what it’s all about, playing games, and I’m really enjoying it.

I think we have a bit of a break now, we’ve got a week where we’ve not got a game after the busy Christmas schedule. We need to recover now and get ready for the FA Cup game, as we want to win that and get as far as we can in that.
