Ismaël Koné spoke to watfordfc.com after Watford earned a hard-fought 1-0 away victory at Rotherham United in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Canadian international discussed his love for the fans, as well as his pride at reaching 50 appearances for the Hornets.

It feels wonderful. I think we’ve been itching for that win for a while, we know we needed it. At the moment we need points, it feels good to get back to winning ways and we need to continue that way.
It is always different in the Championship. You play against sides like Leicester that are really possession based, they keep the ball and you have to think more tactically, but when you come away to a side like this they are really channel-balling, second-balling, just everything is a free-kick for them. It is different, you have to up your game but I think we managed to do a good job, defensively we were on point, overall we did well.
[Making 50 appearances] is crazy - I didn’t know that! Somebody told me before the game. I wasn’t expecting it but I’m very proud, I made the choice to come for a reason. For me to get that achievement, it is a big thing for me. I am very proud of it. More to come hopefully, and I am really happy to reach 50.
I think this team, when it sets its mind to something, we can do it. We’ve shown it before, at away games and home games we were able to win, to perform the way we used to perform. Within our mindset it is to get points but we put the best performance we can together to give us a chance to win games, so it is a feeling we can use going forward.
