Reaction: Kayembe On West Brom Draw

By: Watford FC Staff

Goalscorer Edo Kayembe spoke to watfordfc.com after the Hornets' 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion in the Sky Bet Championship.

A stoppage-time strike from Darnell Furlong prevented Watford from claiming all three points and denied Interim Head Coach Tom Cleverley his second win from three matches in charge.

Read what Kayembe had to say below...

I cannot believe it, I was ready to win. We did everything we can as a team to win but to concede a goal like that in the last minute, that is the game and we have to forget about this and stay focused for the next game now.

For us it’s game by game. It’s not about if the team we're playing is in the play-offs or anything like that.

It's been a long time [since my last goal]. It was on the 1st of January but then I got an injury and missed the African Cup, which was very difficult.

I just needed to keep my head up, keep working hard on the training ground and keep believing.

Tom [Cleverley] is a very nice coach, I played with him many times when I arrived here. Then he was my captain but now he is my coach and you can see that the way we are playing on the pitch is amazing.
