Junior Hornets Matchday: Young Fans To Take Over The Vic!

By: Watford FC Staff

Watford’s fixture with Hull City this Saturday (April 20) has been designated as our Junior Hornets Matchday, and to celebrate our young supporters will be taking on a number of crucial roles around Vicarage Road.

The youngsters will be getting stuck in with tasks in several different areas, including becoming a club photographer and videographer to help produce the pictures and video seen across the Golden Boys’ channels.

Junior Hornets will also try their hand at becoming a club reporter – writing a match report and carrying out interviews afterwards – as well as joining the commentary team for the coverage of the game on Hive Live.

You will also hear a young fan having a go as a stadium announcer, informing those in the stadium of the Watford line-up, while others will wave flags in front of the Graham Taylor Stand ahead of kick-off.

One fan will be a flag bearer on the pitch during the official match photos, while ground staff and kit staff will also be given a helping hand by Junior Hornets.

Prior to the game, the Family Zone will be open from 12.30-2.45pm at Cornerstone Church, directly opposite the Ann Swanson Family Stand turnstiles, with face painting available both there and inside the Family Stand.

A special Junior Hornets prize wheel and photo booth will also be located outside The Hornets Shop.
