Several members of the Hornets’ squad have been called up by their countries ahead of both the 2022 FIFA World Cup and further November internationals.

As confirmed last week, IsmaĂŻla Sarr will join the Senegal squad for his second World Cup campaign having previously featured in the 2018 edition of the tournament. The 24-year-old will have three group stage games to make his mark, with the potential to go even further in the competition.

The first fixture of Group A pits the Senegalese national team against the Netherlands (Monday November 21, 4pm UK time KO).

The following group match sees the current Africa Cup of Nations holders face off against the tournament hosts Qatar (Friday November 25, 1pm UK time KO), with Sarr’s final group match coming against Ecuador (Tuesday November 29, 3pm UK time KO).

The knockout stages commence on December 3, but exact dates should Senegal qualify are yet to be confirmed. Sarr will face an opponent from Group B if Senegal progress for the next round, which could include either England or Wales.

Elsewhere, winger Ken Sema has been selected by Sweden for their two friendlies against Mexico (Wednesday November 16, 7.30pm UK time KO) and Algeria (Saturday November 19, 7,30pm UK time KO).

Goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann has also been picked for Austria’s two friendly matches against Andorra (Wednesday November 16, 5pm UK time KO) and Italy (Sunday November 20, 7.45pm UK time KO).

Nigeria have called up two Hornets in captain William Troost-Ekong and shot-stopper Maduka Okoye for their upcoming friendly fixture against Portugal (Thursday November 17, 6.45pm UK time KO).

Furthermore, Chilean defender Francisco Sierralta has been selected for his country's friendly encounters against Poland (Wednesday November 16, 5pm GMT) and Slovakia (Sunday November 20, 12.30pm GMT).

Good luck, lads!
