EFL Awards: Masina Named In Team Of The Season

Adam Masina has been named in the Championship Team of the Season at tonight's EFL Awards ceremony.

Having missed the start of the season through injury, the left-back has since started 20 league games for the Hornets this campaign, making a further three appearances off the bench.

In Masina's 23 outings, Watford have picked up 17 wins, three draws and three defeats, keeping 14 clean sheets and conceding only 12 times.

The 27-year-old also scored two match-winning goals in back-to-back games in March, against Nottingham Forest at home and Cardiff City away.

The crucial strike in South Wales, which came in the final minute of the match with the scores locked at 1-1, was Watford's first goal from a direct free-kick since April 2016, and has been nominated for the club's Goal of the Season award.

Masina's form in the second half of the season has also seen him earn a first international call-up by Morocco, making his debut in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritania last month.

Congratulations on making the team, Adam!
