News: Second ‘Ask For Watford’ Event Scheduled For November

By: Watford FC Staff

Watford FC, together with our Community, Sports & Education Trust, are pleased to announce the second ‘Ask for Watford’ event, which will be held at the club’s Vicarage Road Stadium on Wednesday November 23.

The first event focused on the safety of women in and around the town of Watford, as well as at our matches. We wish to turn the focus to another important subject for women this time around, and will host a panel discussion about the Menopause.

Please join us and our panel of guests to discuss all aspects of the Menopause and the impact this has on individuals, relationships, work and home life.

The event will be held in the Players’ Lounge at Vicarage Road, from 6-8pm, and the panel will include:

  • Clare Searle - Local GP with expertise in the Menopause
  • Councillor Jennifer Pattinson - Watford Borough Council
  • Diane Danzebrink - Menopause Support
  • Martin Weatherilt - Local resident with personal insight into the Menopause impact

The panel will be discussing how businesses can support work employees who are going through different stages of the Menopause, and how families and friends can play a key role in providing support at home.

Watford Council are in the process of becoming a Menopause-friendly town as part of their recent election manifesto, and we’ll also be discussing their plans.

Following the panel discussion, there will be a Q&A session for attendees to discuss this hugely important topic.

Admisson is free of charge. To book a space, please click HERE. We look forward to meeting you at the event.
