José Holebas joined Watford from Roma in July 2015, when the Hornets were promoted to the Premier League.

Left-sided operator Holebas rose through the ranks at TSV 1860 Munich after starting out at German National League side Viktoria Kahl.

Following a hugely successful four-year spell with Greek giants Olympiakos, Holebas made the switch to Italian side Roma in 2014, making 24 league appearances for the 2014/15 Serie A runners-up.

He has a wealth of top-level domestic experience and European pedigree as well, with 23 Champions League appearances to his name across his time in Italy and Greece.

Holebas completed a transfer to Watford in July 2015, penning a three-year deal with the club. Competition for places meant the Greek international was restricted to 11 Premier League appearances for the campaign.

His made the left-back position his in 2016/17 with 33 Premier League appearances including goals against West Ham and Middlesbrough - the latter being pipped to Goal of the Season by Roberto Pereyra.

In 2017/18 Holebas claimed four assists over the course of the Premier League season in 28 appearances for the Hornets.

His best season for Watford however came in 2018/19, where he made 32 appearances in all competitions, while he scored three goals and notched seven assists. Holebas also came third in the Player of the Season voting.

A Greece international, Holebas made 38 appearances for his paternal homeland - including four as they reached the Quarter-Finals of the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine. He retired from international football in October 2016.

I have to say the fans are always loud and being in a smaller stadium makes it more special.
