Alex Jakubiak speaks about signing a new four-year deal with the Hornets

Jakubiak | “I'm Delighted”

Alex Jakubiak signed a new four-year deal at Vicarage Road this week, before embarking on a season-long loan with League 1 side Fleetwood Town.

The striker, who turned 20 at the end of last month, spoke of his pleasure at committing his long-term future to the Hornets.

"I'm delighted," he told watfordfc.com at UCL.

"I have been here quite a few years now so I'm over the moon to extend my stay. Ever since I've been here I've been training my hardest and trying to improve.

"The coaching staff from Under-15's when I joined have always helped young players improve and the Academy set up here has always been great, so for me to come through it how I have and to sign a long-term contract now is so exciting"
