Lewis joined the club's Academy at Under-11 level, displaying continued development within the Under-18 and Under-23 sides. Having come through the ranks at Watford, Dennon Lewis earned his first professional deal with the club in the summer of 2015.

The versatile youngster has been a prominent figure in the youth ranks, appearing mainly for the Hornet’s Under-21 side throughout the 2015/16 campaign.

Lewis’s willingness to adapt has been reflected throughout his short career so far, playing in a variety of positions – including full back, winger and as an out-and-out striker.

Lewis made a loan switch to National League side Woking in 2016/17, featuring 29 times and scoring four goals.


In July 2017 he agreed a loan move to League 2 outfit Crawley Town until December 31, 2017, featuring 14 times before his return to Vicarage Road.
