Academy | Development Squad Additions

Watford have welcomed two new faces to their Development Squad this week ahead of the new 2017/18 campaign.

Goalkeeper Sam Howes (pictured), 20, joins from West Ham, where he progressed through the Academy and represented England at youth level. He was a regular in the Hammers' PL2 side last season.

Nineteen-year-old striker Harvey Bradbury joins following a successful trial period with the Hornets at the end of last season. Son of former Manchester City forward Lee, he spent the last three years at Portsmouth.

Bachmann | “It's Brilliant To Be Here”

Daniel Bachmann says it’s been an enjoyable first week since signing for the Hornets.

The 22-year-old former Stoke goalkeeper signed on a three-year deal last weekend and says he’s settled well into his new surroundings.

“It's brilliant to be here. I’m really excited and I’m glad everything got done quite quickly,” he told watfordfc.com.

“I’m just pleased to be here now and it’s been a good start over the first couple of days.”

The Austria Under-21 international is also looking forward to learning from experienced Watford stopper Heurelho Gomes.

“Keepers like that are just brilliant to work with, not just on the pitch but off the pitch too,” said Bachmann.

“I’ve only known him for a couple of days but I can learn a lot of things from him, which is brilliant for me and I just have to try and take everything on board.”
