The Hornets signed Jeremy Ngakia in the summer of 2020, after his contract at West Ham United expired.
The right-back came through the Hammers’ academy and broke onto the Premier League scene during the 2019/20 season, making five appearances.
Ngakia made a strong first impression at Watford, scoring the only goal in a friendly win against Scunthorpe United in August 2020 and then winning the club’s September Player of the Month award.
After making 26 appearances in all competitions in his first season as a Hornet - and helping the team win promotion to the Premier League - Ngakia went on to feature 16 times in the top-flight during 2021/22.
Injury hampered much of Ngakia’s 2022/23 exploits, but he still played in 14 Sky Bet Championship games as the Golden Boys registered an 11th-place finish in the standings.
The 2023/24 season was another where injuries stalled the full-back's progress, although he still made 15 appearances across the campaign.
