Despite being a Welsh international, Kenny Jackett was a local lad born in Watford and was a product of the club’s academy.
A predominantly left-sided defender capable of playing further forward in a midfield role, Jackett was an ever-present throughout the club’s most successful period in history playing in the FA Cup final and UEFA Cup campaign.
Jackett’s reliability and consistency remained a constant theme throughout his time at the club and had it not been for a career-ending injury at the age of 28, he may have added to his 337 league appearances for Watford.
