A complete unknown on arrival at Watford in 1999, Icelandic forward Heider Helguson soon made his mark - a debut goal against Liverpool and six in his opening 14 Premier League games saw to that.
Despite his modest stature the Iceland international's laser guided headers and a total lack of fear in the challenge made him an instant fan favourite at The Vic.
After a career best 16 league goals and being awarded the Player of the Season award in 2005, Helguson left the club to join Fulham. He returned in 2009 and cemented his place as a Watford great with a goal-laden loan spell, again notching on his debut with a brace against Leicester City.
