Having spent over 10 years with the club as a player, Alec Chamberlain established himself as a fan favourite at Vicarage Road producing many memorable saves as the Hornet’s number one.

Throughout his time at Watford, Chamberlain remained an important figure in goal for the Golden Boys playing every game in the club’s 1998/99-promotion season to the Premier League.

Chamberlain also saved a penalty in the Play-off semi-final shoot-out, which took the club through to the final where the Hornets went onto a 2-0 victory.
