The points were shared in Gameweek 15 as the Hornets were held to a 1-1 against 10-man Tottenham at Vicarage Road.
Christian Kabasele (8 points) was the best source of Watford Fantasy points after heading in the opener in the first half. The Belgian has now started every game for the Golden Boys since Gameweek 3 and at £4.5, the former striker remains excellent value among defenders at a similar pricing level.
Tom Cleverley (4) provided the assist with the corner while Abdoulaye Doucouré (2) was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet after rattling the post with an excellent strike.
Heung-min Son (7) levelled for Spurs as popular forward Harry Kane (2) disappointed FPL managers after drawing a blank. Christian Eriksen (8) took 3 bonus points after providing the assist, while Moussa Dembele (5) also claimed three in bonuses after a battling display in midfield.
Another midweek gameweek next week means that all Premier League will have 2 consecutive home or away games. With the prospect of facing Stoke and Brighton at Wembley, Tottenham have arguably the most favourable fixtures and will look to return to form. Harry Kane (£12.8) and Christian Eriksen (£9.3) provide the obvious options, while Heung-Min Son (£7.9) could be an interesting differential to look at.
Elsewhere in a low-scoring Gameweek 15, Phillipe Coutinho (18) was the highest points scorer with a goal and three assists as Liverpool eased past Brighton. Roberto Firmino (13) also contributed with 2 goals, while Eden Hazard (15) returned to the starting line-up with a bang as his brace saw off Newcastle in the early Saturday kick-off.
Low-ownership players also shone over the gameweek as a double from Jesse Lingard (15) secured Manchester United an impressive 3-1 over Arsenal and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (12) made the most of a suspension to Oumar Niasse as his goal and assist saw off Huddersfield.
Glyn Francies returned to the top of the Watford global league, while Andy Swann was the highest scorer as he snuck into the top 10 with an impressive 82 points. Congratulations if you made the top 10 this week!
Tip of the week
With fixtures coming thick and fast over the Christmas period, keep an on eye on rotations that could impact your team. It could be worth focusing on players who are either too important to drop, or their potential replacement isn’t good enough to play. Examples include Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata and Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Players to watch
1) Ben Mee (Burnley, £4.8) has played every minute for a Burnley defence that has the 3rd joint lowest goals conceded in the league. Home games against Watford and Stoke could provide the opportunity for more clean sheets.
2) Christian Eriksen (Tottenham, £9.3) pulls the strings of a Tottenham team looking to return to form having been without a win in three. The leading Tottenham points scorer behind Kane, thee Dane has the chance to add to his tally with two consecutive home games.
3) Christian Benteke (Crystal Palace, £7.6) has returned to the starting line-up of an improved Crystal Palace side after a spell out with injury. Could prove an interesting differential with 2 upcoming home games against Brighton and Watford.
Best of luck for Gameweek Sixteen, FPL managers!
