Update | Positive Injury News

The Hornets are pleased to report positive news from the treatment room following Saturday's opening-day Premier League draw with Liverpool.
Daryl Janmaat and Roberto Pererya were forced off with injuries during the game, and Younes Kaboul finished the match with his leg heavily strapped, however Performance Director Gavin Benjafield confirms that all three players are already working hard on their recovery programmes.
“Following our assessments and scans, all three players suffered low-grade muscle injuries and are now working with us at the training ground – on both the bikes and in the pool – as they step up their recovery,” he explained.

Britos | “It Was A Great Atmosphere”

Miguel Britos said a combined effort between those in the stands and those on the pitch drove Watford towards their late leveller against Liverpool yesterday.

The Uruguayan scored the 94th-minute equaliser in a gripping 3-3 draw at The Vic, but after the final whistle moved to praise the important contributions of his teammates as well as the excellent backing of the Hornets’ supporters.

He told watfordfc.com: “On the pitch we were supporting each other, saying 'come on, come on, we can do it'.

“We created two or three chances to score and this is the way we have to carry on and play.

“The fans helped us out a lot. It was very nice to feel the fans’ support, especially in the last minute. It was a great atmosphere.

“As a team we played well, especially the first-half. The new players adapted very quickly, but we have to improve our performance, correct our mistakes and carry on.”
