Younes Kaboul reflects on a Golden evening in North London

“They Couldn't Live With Us” | Kaboul

It was a Golden evening for the Hornets as they beat title-chasing Arsenal 2-1 in their own backyard on Tuesday.

Early goals from Younes Kaboul and Troy Deeney capped a marvellous first-half display, setting Watford on their way to earning a first league win over the Gunners since 1988.

Speaking after full-time, Kaboul heaped praise on the defence that stood firm in the second-half, after a relentless attacking onslaught from the hosts as they looked for an equaliser.

“From the beginning, Britos, Seb, Craig, Behrami, all of us were brilliant,” he said to

“The team did a terrific job and this will give us a lot of confidence.

“In the first-half they couldn’t live with us, we were on top of everything from Troy to Gomes, I’m very happy.”
