Team News: Swansea City

Xisco Muñoz kept his cards close to his chest when discussing the availability of his players ahead of the trip to Swansea City on Saturday.

William Troost-Ekong, Christian Kabasele and João Pedro missed the victory against league leaders Norwich City but there are no new injury concerns in the Watford ranks.

“We have no new problems. We’ve had a perfect week because we are recovering players, which has been perfect,” said Muñoz.

“I don’t like to speak about individual situations with players. We will see for the next game who is ready.”

One player who is not yet ready for selection but has returned to training following a lengthy spell on the sidelines is Isaac Success.

“He has started training with us, step by step. He needs time but I’m very happy with him because in the last training he was at a good level,” said the Head Coach.

“But it’s step by step when a player has come in after an injury, so we will see when he’s coming back.”

Muñoz would not be drawn on potential January activity, preferring to focus on the players he knows are available to him as he searches for his first away win with the Hornets.

“I don’t lose time thinking about new players, I’m very happy with the players who are here,” he said.

“I am preparing for the next game with the players I have, and I don’t want to think about maybe for the future. Right now, we have the next game, I have these players and we need to play hard with these guys.”
