Team News: Manchester City

Javi Gracia will again have the luxury of a near fully-fit squad to choose from when it comes to picking the side to face champions and league leaders Manchester City on Tuesday night.
The Head Coach has 28 players available to him in what is a ringing endorsement of the work being done by Head of Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Alberto Leon Herranz and his team. Only Adalberto Peñaranda is out of contention because of a foot problem.
“The rest of the players are available,” said Gracia.
Tom Cleverley is edging ever closer to a return, but his comeback is being carefully managed given he has been out since January.
“Tom is in the process, training day by day and the most important thing is he doesn't feel anything strange,” said Gracia. “He is training at the same level as the rest of the team and that's good news for us.”
Daryl Janmaat is closer to featuring than Cleverley as he played a competitive game against Coventry recently in his recovery from knee surgery. The Dutchman is just waiting for an opportunity to present itself at right-back.
“Janmaat played for the Under-23s and he felt comfortable,” said Gracia. “He is feeling well and ready and available to play when we need him.”
Peñaranda is also chomping at the bit to play after securing a work permit last month, but he is being held back because of a slight problem he picked up in training.
“Peñaranda is training out of the team,” said Gracia. “He felt pain in his foot and we'll see when he is going to be an option. At this moment he's not with the team.”
