I know Watford is a family club, this is the first feeling I had when I arrived at the training ground. Everything is simple, I like that
Okaka joined Watford in August 2016 following an impressive season with Anderlecht.
In 2005, Okaka made his professional debut in the UEFA Cup with Roma aged just 16 and scored his first goal just months later in the Coppa Italia.
His route to Watford was a winding one – five loan spells during his time as a Roma player earnt him a permanent move to Parma in 2012, and after a successful loan spell with Spezia he made the move to Sampdoria in 2014. 36 appearances and eight league goals later and Okaka was on the move again – this time to Anderlecht.
The Italian scored 15 league goals during the 2015/16 campaign as he began to show the sort of form that he was always capable of before signing for Watford the following season.
Injuries saw Okaka make a stuttering start to his Watford career in 2016/17 – but a brace and a man of the match performance against Everton showed exactly what the big man could do – heading home from a corner before adding his second with a cheeky backheel.
Okaka hit the ground running in 2017/18 as he scored on the Hornets' opening game of the season at home to Liverpool, however he was limited to just 16 appearances - mostly from the bench - in a frustrating campaign.
On January 8, 2019, he signed for Italian side Udinese on loan until the end of the 2018/19 campaign. During his time with the Zebrette Okaka found the net six times in 16 Seria A games
The centre-forward has made four appearances for his country, scoring one goal for the Azzurri.
