Official: He's Coming Home!

Ben Foster has completed a return to Vicarage Road after agreeing a permanent transfer from West Bromwich Albion.
A former Watford Player of the Season, Foster - capped eight times by England - is back with the Hornets having today signed a two-year-contract, with the club holding an option over an additional 12 months.

A popular figure at The Vic after two successful years on loan from Manchester United, the 6ft 4ins goalie played an integral role in the club’s 2005/06 promotion campaign and was then voted the Hornets’ stand-out performer during the subsequent Premier League season.
His good form at Watford resulted in a debut for England in February 2007, and his international appearances include a 2014 World Cup match against Costa Rica.

With 81 Watford outings to his name, Foster returned in 2007 to parent club Manchester United, where he played 23 times and was named 'Man of the Match' for his part in the Red Devils' 2009 League Cup final win over Tottenham Hotspur.

A £6m move to Birmingham City followed in 2010, and he once again lifted the League Cup following Blues’ surprise defeat of Arsenal in the 2011 final.
After an impressive year at St. Andrew’s, Foster switched to fellow West Midlands side West Bromwich Albion in an initial season-long loan which would turn into a permanent deal.
In total, he played 223 games for the Baggies, winning Supporters’ Player of the Year three times and Players’ Player of the Year twice during a seven-season stay at The Hawthorns.

Ladies: Grey's Of Ely Sponsor Golden Girls

Watford FC is delighted to confirm that Grey's of Ely has signed on to continue as the Official Travel Partner of the Women’s team, ahead of the 2018/19 season.

As a result, the Grey's of Ely logo will be printed onto the front of all the Ladies’ adidas polos and training sweaters. Watford FC Ladies will have full access to the company’s luxury fleet of team coaches, and will utilise Grey's for all travel needs during the season.

Grey's of Ely is a luxury coach company that was set up in 1946, based just outside Cambridge. They boast a fleet of 30 coaches, and provide transport for other well-established professional sports clubs in the country.

General Manager of Watford FC Ladies, Ed Henderson, highlighted how excited the club are to continue working with Grey's of Ely, as the side begin life in the FA Women’s National League South.

“We are delighted to continue with Grey's of Ely for next season, and are extremely grateful for their continued support of the club,” he said.

“The experience we had with Grey's last season was brilliant, and the partnership will ensure we will continue to travel to away games on state-of-the-art coaches, as we look to have a really successful season on the pitch.

“We want to keep growing the commercial viability of the club, and this deal once more conveys that we are making steps in the right direction. There are also tangible benefits for players and staff from this sponsorship, in terms of the quality of coaches we will be travelling on, so it is positive all round.”

Managing Director of Grey’s of Ely, Richard Grey, added: “It is a genuine pleasure to be able to provide Watford FC Ladies with luxury travel for the forthcoming season, and we are looking forward to working with the team again.”
