Since I arrived at Watford the fans have been amazing. They’ve done a great job supporting the team, & even if we're losing, they are always behind us

Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo signed for Udinese in 2008 after a brief but fruitful spell with Lyn in Norway.

Following one season in Serie A, Ighalo was loaned to Spanish side Granada in 2009. The forward bagged 17 goals in 27 games as Granada topped Segunda B in 2009/10.

After a brief, unsuccessful spell back in Italy at Cesena, a further loan move to Granada saw him turn out for the club in the Segunda Division and the top tier between 2011 and 2014.

Ighalo arrived in England on an initial loan move before completing a permanent switch to Watford in October 2014.

The Nigerian scored 20 goals in total for the Hornets during 2014/15, finishing as the Hornets' second top-scorer as the club achieved promotion back to the Premier League.

The skillful front-man made the step up to the Premier League look effortless as he found the net 16 times in the league, earning national acclaim in the process.

Following Ighalo’s impressive run of form for Watford, the striker made his first appearance for Nigeria in a friendly against Uganda. He has won nine caps scoring three times for the Super Eagles.
