Ladies: Lancaster Wins Manager Of The Month

The Golden Girls are delighted to announce that Clinton Lancaster has been awarded FA Women’s National League Premier Division Manager of the Month for December.

This season's results are testament to the hard work of Lancaster and his staff as well as the players, and Ladies General Manager Grace Williams was full of praise for the Head Coach.

“I’m so pleased Clinton has received this award, it is thoroughly deserved to represent the hard work he puts in,” she said.

“It’s definitely an award for all the staff, coaches and players. Every single member of Watford FC has put in so much hard work and so much time to ensure we are top of the table with not only great results but some great performances. Since I appointed Clint as Head Coach, I have been nothing but impressed with his forward-thinking, positive attitude and professionalism in the role. Congratulations Clint!”

Since Lancaster became Head Coach in September, he and his team have won 12 out of 13 games, scoring 54 goals. Watford FC Ladies also ended the year top of the FA Women's National League.

“I was really pleased to receive the award, but it’s not just me, it’s all of the staff and players who have all put in such a team effort, not only in December but the whole season,” Lancaster said.

“Thank you to everyone for the support, part of the reason for the successful season so far is definitely the cheering in the crowds, giving the girls that extra push!”
