On loan from Udinese
Molla Wagué joined the Hornets on a season-long loan from Udinese in August 2017.
He first joined the Pozzo network of clubs in 2014, joining Granada from Caen before being immediately sent to Udinese on loan. He made the permanent switch to Italy earlier this year.
The Frenchman moved to Leicester, the then Premier League champions, on loan in 2016 but dislocated his shoulder in the FA Cup fourth-round game against Millwall, the team who knocked the Hornets out in the previous round. The injury ruled him out for the rest of the season.
The defender represented France at Under-19 level but switched his allegiance to Mali in 2013 after he was called up to their African Cup of Nations squad.
He has scored four goals in 26 appearances for the national team, three in friendlies against Gabon and Burkina Faso and his first competitive goal against Equatorial Guinea.
Waguè was named in the Mali squad for the African Nations Cup in 2017. He started all three games, against Egypt, Ghana and Uganda, as Mali finished third in Group D. He was part of a defence that only conceded two goals.
