Walter Mazzarri on yesterday's defeat against Leicester City

Mazzarri | “Disappointed & Sorry for the Fans”

Walter Mazzarri was unable to hide his frustration with the way the goals were conceded in yesterday’s disappointing 3-0 defeat at Leicester City.

Individual mistakes cost the Hornets dearly at the King Power Stadium, with the home side taking advantage of costly errors to earn three valuable points in their bid for Premier League survival.

“We are disappointed and sorry for the fans,” Mazzarri told the media after the match.

“We made some individual mistakes and their goalkeeper made some fantastic saves. They played on the counter-attack and scored the crucial goals.

“In the first-half we could have scored first and should have gone ahead but they punished us for some silly individual mistakes.

“The result isn’t nice but I don’t think it reflected how the game went.”
