OPPOSITION

Jason Tindall has hit the ground running since replacing Eddie Howe ahead of this campaign. Following relegation, the Cherries have won the majority of their matches so far with Arnaut Danjuma in particular impressing up front, while Jefferson Lerma has been chipping in with goals from midfield.

TEAM NEWS

Vladimir Ivić expects to name a similar squad to the one that overcame Blackburn Rovers. The Head Coach was able to welcome Ismaïla Sarr, Étienne Capoue and Stipe Perica back into the matchday 18 on Wednesday, with only the latter not getting onto the pitch during the course of the evening. “I believe we will have the same squad [against Bournemouth],” said Ivić. “From the players who were out of the previous game, maybe there will be one extra player who can be in the squad for the next game, but I want to keep this [information] for myself.”

PRE-MATCH THOUGHTS

Vladimir Ivić, Watford Head Coach:

“Bournemouth are in a similar situation like us, they were relegated the previous year and they now want to go back to the Premier League. They’re a tough opponent with a lot of quality players, we know we have one very tough game like we did against Blackburn, but I believe in my guys and we will prepare our game to give our best and fight until the last second for victory.”

GOLDEN FLASHBACK

Watford came from behind to beat Bournemouth 2-1 at Vicarage Road in April 1998 to close the gap on Division Two leaders Bristol City, and a week later they would leapfrog the Robins to win the championship. Jason Lee and Gifton Noel-Williams scored the Hornets' goals against the Cherries as defender Steve Palmer bizarrely started the game in goal.
