Watford is a great club, with a great history and vision for the future, and I’m just happy to be a part of that
Jerome Sinclair came through West Bromwich Albion’s Academy setup and impressed sufficiently to earn a move to Liverpool as a 15-year-old in 2011.
Sinclair became the youngest player to ever represent Liverpool when handed a first-team debut – aged just 16 years and six days – in a League Cup tie against his former club Albion in September 2012. The pacey forward went on to play five times for the Reds, scoring during his first start against Exeter City in the FA Cup.
An England international at Under-16 and Under-17 level, Sinclair spent a brief spell on loan at Wigan Athletic in March 2015, making his Latics debut during Watford’s 2-0 win at the DW Stadium.
In June 2016 it was announced that Sinclair would be joining the Hornets on a five-year deal, becoming the club’s first new signing ahead of the 2016/17 season.
He scored his first goal in Watford colours during an FA Cup win over Burton Albion in January 2017, before spending the latter part of the campaign on loan at Birmingham, where he featured five times.
The forward made five appearances during his second season with the Hornets.
Prior to the start of 2018/19, Sinclair signed for League One outfit Sunderland, scoring twice in 19 games before returning to Vicarage Road in January 2019.
On deadline day he then completed a loan switch to Oxford United until the end of the 2018/19 season, where he scored four goals and notched three assists in 16 games as The U's finished mid-table.
In late July 2019, Sinclair agreed a season-long loan switch to Dutch Eredivisie outfit VVV-Venlo.
