“It’s Going To Be A Different Game” - Capoue

Étienne Capoue says Watford are expecting a very different type of task when they face Sunderland on Saturday (Dec 17, 3pm KO), compared to the midweek trip to Manchester City.

The Hornets stayed up north following Wednesday night’s defeat at the Etihad Stadium, and the French midfielder says preparations for what’s sure to be a tough encounter at the Stadium of Light have been first-class.

“We have very good facilities here. We stayed in Manchester and we’ve prepared very well for Sunderland,” said Capoue.

“It’s going to be a different game. They have to win because they lost at home [on Wednesday] and they’re playing again at home, so they’ll want to win in front of their fans, but we have to get three points.

“I think they’re going to put a lot of pressure on us, especially in the first 15 minutes, but we need to be very professional and very focused on what we have to do.”
