“I'm Very Angry”

Walter Mazzarri didn't hide his discontent after yesterday's narrow defeat at Sunderland in the Premier League.

The Italian said the Hornets have nobody to blame but themselves, as Patrick van Aanholt's second-half goal condemned Watford to a second straight loss.

“I'm very angry, because we made mistakes by ourselves,” he said, speaking during his post-match interviews.

“It was us that gave Sunderland these points, we gave them their goal.”

Much was made of the Golden Boys' lack of bite in front of goal, and Mazzarri echoed these sentiments.

“We had a lot of chances before half-time which we didn't take. This is something we have to work on.

“If you look at the Everton game, we took them and we won. Today the chances were easier but we didn't score.

“I'm happy with the way we played but if you don't take chances you don't go anywhere”

Valon Behrami and Younes Kaboul had their say on the game, and there's also a full match report and match stats in the watfordfc.com match review.
