Watford travel abroad to continue pre-season preparations

Hornets Head To Austria

The Hornets head to Austria today (Monday July 17) to continue their pre-season preparations under Head Coach Marco Silva.

A squad of 31 players make the trip, including new signings Will Hughes and Nathaniel Chalobah, who both join up with their new team-mates for the first time.

Captain Troy Deeney will remain in the UK however for his short rehabilitation period on a minor groin injury. 

Silva's side will play two matches against European opposition during their week-long stay.

On Tuesday they face Viktoria Plzen of the Czech Republic at the Worgl Stadion, and on Saturday they play SD Eibar of La Liga in Spain at the Kufstein Arena.
