Hoban loaned to Blackburn

Watford defender Tommie Hoban has signed for Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old will spend the 2016/17 campaign with the Championship side, who are managed by Owen Coyle, although the Hornets have the option to recall the centre-half in January 2017.

Hoban made his return to action after a long-term injury during the Hornets’ EFL Cup tie against Gillingham on Tuesday.

The Academy graduate has played 58 times for Watford’s first-team, scoring two goals.

Janmaat | “Watford Was The Best Decision For Me”

After signing a four-year deal with the Hornets, Daryl Janmaat sat down with the watfordfc.com cameras to give his first exclusive interview.

The 27-year-old became Walter Mazzarri’s eighth signing of the summer, and shortly after agreeing terms he said: “You always look to different things, and in the end, Watford was the best decision for me.

“Everybody wants to play at the highest level, and that was a big thing that attracted me.

“I believe in the squad here, the club wants to keep improving and I’d like to be part of that.”
