Folivi | “It's What We Live For”

While last night's 2-0 defeat against Stoke City may not live long in the memory of many Watford fans, it's an evening that 18-year-old Michael Folivi will certainly never forget.

The young forward became the second Watford Academy graduate to be blooded in the Premier League this season after coming on as an 81st minute substitute at the Bet365 Stadium, with full-back Brandon Mason also introduced against Tottenham Hotspur at The Vic on New Year's Day

Folivi, who signed a new long-term deal with the Hornets in November, admits it was an opportunity he was ready and waiting for but is not ready to rest on his laurels just yet having now had a taste of competitive action.

"I’m over the moon to make my debut though and I was raring for my chance," he told watfordfc.com.

"The manager gave it to me and I’m grateful to him and everyone involved but I need to kick-on now.

"I don’t want to look back now I want to carry on going. Being on the pitch was surreal and it’s what we live for."
