Official | Capoue Joins

WATFORD FC is delighted to announce the signing of Etienne Capoue from Tottenham Hotspur for a club record transfer fee.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who has signed a four-year Vicarage Road contract, arrived at White Hart Lane in 2013 and made 24 appearances in the Premier League.

Capoue joined Spurs from French side Toulouse, where he played nearly 200 first-team matches after progressing through the youth ranks.

It was at ‘Le Téfécé’ where he continued to mature as a player, consistent performances earning him a nomination for Ligue 1's 'Young Player of the Year' award in 2013.

The France international has featured seven times for his country, scoring once; in a 3-1 victory over Belarus during qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Official | New Watford Deal For Deeney

WATFORD FC captain Troy Deeney has committed his long-term future to the Hornets by signing a new five-year deal.

Deeney’s Championship goalscoring record of 81 goals in 220 games during his time at The Vic is impressive enough, before you factor in a huge number of assists as well.

In hitting the net 21 times during Watford’s promotion-winning 2014/15 season, the 27-year-old entered the club record books in notching 20-plus goals across each of the last three terms.

The Hornets No. 9 has already completed half a decade at Vicarage Road, joining on the first day of the 2010/11 season from Walsall.
