Watford submit their 2017/2018 squad to the Premier League

Confirmed | Hornets' Squad Submitted

Watford have submitted their 25-man squad to the Premier League this afternoon (Friday).

Defender Craig Cathcart has not been included in the squad due to his knee injury. The Northern Irishman has been under assessment by specialists this week after he was forced off early in the second half last weekend against Brighton & Hove Albion.

“Craig has had his knee assessed by three specialists and we are in agreement that surgery is the best course of action to give him the best and quickest recovery period” said Performance Director Gavin Benjafield.

“He will have surgery early next week and then begin an intensive period of rehabilitation.”

Fellow defender Tommie Hoban also misses out following his recent knee operation.
