Tom Cleverley reflects on back-to-back Premier League wins for the Hornets

Cleverley | "Today Was All About The Result"

While Tom Cleverley can't take all the credit for Watford's recent upturn in fortunes, the central midfielder put in another all-action display on Saturday to show exactly why he's been so instrumental in the Hornets' recent good results.

The on-loan Everton man put in a Man of the Match display in yesterday's 2-1 win over Burnley and is now unbeaten in his four Premier League games since returning to the club in the January transfer window.

Goals from Troy Deeney and a first for fellow new signing M'Baye Niang secured the points against Burnley at The Vic, and Cleverley was naturally delighted with what has been an excellent few days for the Golden Boys.

"I think we’re chuffed but also disappointed with ourselves because we should have made it easier for us," he told watfordfc.com after the game.

"But today was all about the result and if you would have given me a ground-out 2-1 victory at the start of the day I would have definitely taken it.

"So we’re a little disappointed with how we finished the game but I’m sure later tonight the result will sink in and we'll appreciate what a good week it's been for us."
