Awards: Gracia Shortlisted For Manager Of The Month

Hornets Head Coach Javi Gracia has been nominated for the August 2018 Barclays Manager of the Month award in the Premier League after overseeing a 100 per cent start to the 2018/19 campaign with wins over Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley and Crystal Palace.

In doing so, the Golden Boys set a record for winning their opening three Premier League games for the first time in the club's history.

Roberto Pereyra scored twice against the Seagulls on the opening day, before Andre Gray, Troy Deeney and Will Hughes all netted in a 3-1 win at Burnley's Turf Moor.

Those two victories were then topped-off with success in a tricky fixture against Crystal Palace, as second-half goals from Pereyra and José Holebas sealed the win.

The Spaniard is up against:

Jürgen Klopp - who has also seen his side win all three games, scoring seven and keeping nothing but clean sheets so far.
Mauricio Pochettino - whose Spurs side have brushed aside Newcastle United and Fulham, before an important 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford meant they too have taken nine points from nine.
Mauricio Sarri - who arrived at Chelsea late in their pre-season but has masterminded maximum points from games against Huddersfield, Arsenal and Newcastle United.

The winners will be announced on Friday September 7.
