Watford’s Under-23s will be looking to get back on track at the scene where Marco Silva’s men secured a quite brilliant victory over the weekend.
The young Hornets face Colchester United at Vicarage Road on Monday (October 16, 2pm KO), and defender Max Ryan is relishing the prospect of returning to winning ways.
"We started off well this season," Ryan said, speaking to watfordfc.com.
"We won our first few games and we were playing well. We’ve had a bit of a dip in form recently, but obviously we are looking forward to the game on Monday."
Ryan also spoke about having previous experience of playing at The Vic, and what it means to younger players walking out of the tunnel.
"We all look forward to playing at Vicarage Road, because it’s a different type of game," he said.
"We don’t train in any different way, we prepare the same but when you get there, just looking at the stadium and going in and around the tunnel, it’s a good feeling.
"Any experience at the stadium is a good one, whether we win or lose. I’ve played in a few Youth Cup games and I scored a penalty in one of the shoot-outs, but hopefully we can really start performing and hopefully we can start winning."
