OFFICIAL: Sheffield Wednesday Sign Forestieri

WATFORD forward Fernando Forestieri has completed a permanent transfer to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

Forestieri first signed for the Golden Boys on loan during the summer of 2012, before making the move permanent midway through his first season. He went on to play 32 times during 2012/13, scoring eight goals in the process.

Eight further goals followed during 2013/14, and despite a couple of spells on the sidelines last season, the former Italian Under-21 international contributed five goals to the Hornets’ promotion-winning campaign.

A popular figure amongst supporters at Vicarage Road, the 25-year-old made a total of 91 appearances during his time with the Hornets, scoring 21 goals.

Watford FC thanks Fernando for his efforts during his time with the club, and wishes him all the very best for the future.
