Women: MK Dons (A) Preview - March 26

By: Watford FC Staff

Following the postponement of their clash with Oxford United, Watford FC Women turn their attention to an MK Dons trip this Sunday [March 26, 2pm KO].

The Golden Girls were heading into that postponed game full of confidence and with momentum on their side and they’ll be looking to pick up right where they left off.

The earlier meetings between the two sides saw the Hornets run out winners twice in three weeks. The league clash saw MK Dons push the Golden Girls all the way with a late Faye Brough strike securing a vital three points.

The Ground

Sunday’s game is being played at Stadium MK, a fully-seated venue. MK Dons have started with three blocks of seats open, situated behind both dugouts, and above the tunnel along the side of the pitch.

If you’re driving to the game, there are plenty of options for parking around the stadium, but be sure to check for any restrictions across the car parks.

The nearest train station is Bletchley, with a short bus journey to the stadium to follow. Once you arrive at Bletchley Station, a short walk to Bletchley Bus Station will allow you to get the number 6 bus to Stadium MK, a journey that will take around 15 minutes from train station to stadium.

Tickets

Tickets for Sunday’s match can be purchased in advance; general sale entry is priced at £5 for adults and £3 for under-18s.

The Match

The hosts head into the game full of confidence, lifting the Berks & Bucks FA Women’s Cup last week with a 3-0 win over Abingdon United.

Since the sides last met the Dons have played six times, winning four, drawing and losing once to round out a strong run of form. Milton Keynes have kept three clean sheets in those six matches, showing their best defensive run of the season.

The Hornets go into the game buoyed by positive results against Gillingham and Crawley Wasps in recent weeks, promising a competitive tie in Buckinghamshire on Sunday.
