Watford FC is delighted to confirm that Adekite Fatuga-Dada, Andria Georgiou and Gemma Davison have put pen to paper on new contracts with the Golden Girls ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Georgiou and Davison have committed to representing the Hornets in the upcoming FA Women’s National League Southern Division having signed on last season, with Fatuga-Dada looking to build on her historic Hornets career at senior level, which began as an 18-year-old in 2015.

Now 25, the creative forward is one of the longest-serving players at the club having joined through the Watford Community Sports & Education Trust as a youngster. Fatuga-Dada made her debut against Doncaster Rovers Belles in August 2015 and has never looked back, making over 100 appearances and becoming an indispensable member of the squad at WSL2 and National League level. She also helped the Hornets to Championship promotion in the curtailed 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

Known for her playmaking abilities but possessing an eye for goal, Fatuga-Dada’s experience at Watford and in the National League stand her in good stead for the upcoming season, as she embarks upon another exciting campaign in yellow.

Georgiou has also signed on for Damon Lathrope’s side, and like Fatuga-Dada, possesses considerable experience at this level despite being only 26. The former Coventry United, London Bees, West Ham United and Crystal Palace midfielder, who joined in March, enjoyed a dream debut for the Golden Girls, playing 90 minutes in a 1-0 win over London City Lionesses at Vicarage Road.

Capped 16 times by England and a WSL, FA Cup and League Cup winner, Davison will spend another season at Watford following her arrival in March.

The experienced attacker, formerly of English giants Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and others, returned to where it all began as a youth player earlier this year. Davison also made her debut in the London City victory, and scored her first Watford goal against Crystal Palace.

The Hornets can also confirm that defender Ryah Vyse has left the club. Vyse made 45 appearances in yellow after her move from Tottenham Hotspur and played a vital role in the Golden Girls’ promotion to the Championship in 2021.

We wish Ryah all the best for the future.
