Women: Fan Guide - Coventry United (May 1)

By: Watford FC Staff

It’s a big one this Sunday (May 1, 2pm KO), as the Golden Girls return to Vicarage Road to face Coventry United Ladies in the last game of the 2021/22 FA Women’s Championship season.

With plenty to play for on the pitch, and lots going on off it for the Junior Hornets Fun Day, it’s sure to be a great atmosphere at The Vic.

Here’s all you’ll need to know ahead of your visit – including information on some of the fantastic ticketing offers in place.

Junior Hornets Fun Day

Sunday’s game is a Junior Hornets Fun Day, and a whole host of entertaining activities will be in place to help our young fans enjoy their day!

There’ll be plenty of games to take part in, spot-prize giveaways, and also a player appearance or two.

The fun starts at midday, with events taking place around the Rookery End, so get there early to partake in all the fun!

Getting To The Ground

Car

If travelling by car, please note there will be no parking available at the stadium. Parking is readily available in the town centre.

We recommend using either Church Car Park or Gade Car Park. These are a 5-10 minute walk from Vicarage Road. Directions to Church Car Park can be found here.

Train

Due to planned engineering works, no train services between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central will run on Sunday. This impacts all London Northwestern, London Overground, and Southern Railway services – with rail replacement buses in operation.

Should you need further information regarding the engineering works, this can be found here and also here.

The Metropolitan line will still be running to Watford station, and we would recommend this route if you are coming from London. The ground is approximately a 15-20 minute walk away from here.

Arrival times into Watford station are at the following times each hour: :07, :22, :37, :52

Departure times from Watford station at the following times each hour: :08, :23, :38, :53

Tickets

With it being a Junior Hornets Fun Day, entrance is free of charge to all Junior Hornets members.

If you are a Watford FC Season Ticket holder, or purchased a ticket for the men’s Burnley match, you can also claim a complimentary ticket!

In addition to those offers, supporters who have previously attended a Watford FC Women match in 2021/22 can bring someone who’s never been to one of our games before for just £1 thanks to our Pal for a Pound offer. This is only available over the phone (01923 223023) and in person at the ticket office.

All other ticketing offers and sales can be claimed or purchased in advance online, as well as in the two ways mentioned above. We strongly advise you to buy beforehand if possible.

Those purchasing on the day will need to go to the collection windows where three booths will be open – payment will be by both cash and card. All deals will still be available.

For those not eligible for any of the above offers, the usual prices of £12 adults and £5 concessions* will remain in place.

*Concessions are as follows: 65 and over, full-time students and 18 and under.

Arrival/Entrance

Kick-off is at 2pm and turnstiles will open at the slightly earlier time of midday, giving all of our supporters more time to enjoy the festivities.

We recommend an earlier arrival time where possible. If buying or collecting tickets, please allow plenty of time.

Fans will be located in The Graham Taylor Stand and entrance will be by the turnstiles by Gate 15. Stewards will be on hand to help out with directions.

Food & Drink

Catering facilities will be open serving a range of food and drinks. Please note that these will be card only and cash will not be accepted.

Matchday Programme

Our 44-page programme will be available to purchase for just £3. It includes a feature with Andria Georgiou, information on our opponents Coventry United, a Junior Hornets section for all our young fans and much more!
