Women: Clark Signs On Loan

By: Watford FC Staff

Watford FC Women are pleased to confirm the signing of Wales international goalkeeper Olivia Clark on a season-long loan from Barclays Women’s Super League outfit Bristol City.

Clark, 21, joins the Golden Girls from the newly-promoted Robins, having deputised for Golden Glove winner Fran Bentley in 2022/23.

Number one for her country, Clark made her debut for the Dragons in June 2021 against Scotland, and has since gone on to pick up nine caps, playing alongside former Hornets captain Helen Ward on the international stage.

Clark began her career at Lincoln City, then called Nettleham, in her home city. Moving onto Huddersfield Town in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division, Clark made 13 appearances in all competitions and earned a move to then Championship side Coventry United, where she spent two seasons.

Adding to a goalkeeping department that also features Jacqui Goldsmid, Clark is the Hornets’ third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Harley Bennett and Coral Haines.

Welcome to Watford, Liv!
