Info: New Watford FC Ticketing System

By: Watford FC Staff

Watford FC is pleased to confirm that it's now working with a new ticketing systems provider in SeatGeek.

Highly recommended within the industry, the Hornets' partnership with SeatGeek will provide supporters with a far greater opportunity to self-serve when it comes to ticket purchase and other regular actions taken online.

The break between Season Ticket sales has been used to securely migrate a massive amount of ticket-related data to SeatGeek from Ticketmaster, with whom the club's 20-plus-year relationship has now officially ended.

Hornets' fans will begin to see differences straight away, and in the short-term this is going to require some refreshing of accounts - including stuff like Family & Friends back up etc. - to provide a much easier experience in the medium and longer-term.

It's a challenging time for the Supporter Services team as well, given they're also coming in fresh to these new systems, so please bear with us if we're a little longer serving fellow fans than is usually the case.

We look forward to the benefits the new SeatGeek partnership will bring as we head towards the 2021/22 Premier League season with the Golden Boys.

Before ticket sales for the new season get back underway, all supporters will be required to log in to the new ticketing system via tickets.watfordfc.com to confirm login details and a new password by using the 'set up your account' link displayed on the homepage.

We would also like to take this opportunity to encourage all supporters to ensure all personal information, including home address, contact number(s), email address and date of birth is correct and up-to-date.

Friends & Family Booking Network

All previously created booking networks have not been carried over to the new ticketing system. All supporters planning on purchasing tickets as a group booking on behalf of their friends and family will need to link all relevant accounts on the system and create a new Friends & Family ticketing network.

Two types of Friends & Family relationships can be established - a 'strong relationship', which allows supporters to purchase season and match tickets on behalf of other Hornets supporters whilst simultaneously allowing access to any credit applied to their friend / family member's account. Additionally, a 'standard relationship' can be created which allows the lead booker to assign match tickets within the same booking.

'Strong relationship' links are only recommended for family members and supporters that you regularly purchase tickets for.

Relationships can be changed or deleted at any time and supporters cannot be listed as a 'strong relationship' in multiple booking networks. There are no such limitations for 'standard relationships'.

Please note, all fans listed within your Friends & Family ticketing network must have a registered Fan ID.

To create your new ticketing network, simply follow the four steps outlined below:

  1. Log into your account and access the 'personal details' section found in the drop-down menu located in the top right-hand corner (where your Fan ID and name is shown).

  2. Select 'manage my relationships'.

  3. Select 'create a relationship' and filter the relationship type to show either a 'Strong Relationship' or 'Standard Relationship' before clicking 'ok'.

  4. Check the box that says 'yes' the person does have a Fan ID and enter their Fan ID, postcode and last name to link the account.

Booking History & Home / Away Groups

Initially, historic ticket transactions will not appear on online ticketing accounts. Data migration work will continue over the coming weeks to fully populate all ticketing history dating back to August 2014 to present day. All other historical data will be securely held in the club's data warehouse separate from the ticketing system.

Although historical purchases will not initially be visible on the ticketing system, pre-existing home and away group status will remain unaffected, and supporters will still be able to purchase match tickets within the appropriate timeframe assigned to the relevant group.

Further details regarding match ticket sales for upcoming pre-season fixtures will be released shortly.
