Team News: Wolverhampton Wanderers v Watford

By: Watford FC Staff

Joshua King’s fitness will be assessed after training today (March 9), before the Watford FC squad travels up to Wolverhampton for Thursday night’s Premier League clash under the lights (7.30pm KO).

The 30-year-old could be involved after missing Sunday’s narrow defeat at home to Arsenal as a precaution against injury, but Jeremy Ngakia is targeting this weekend’s trip to Southampton for his return as he continues his recovery from a minor hamstring strain.

Elsewhere William Troost-Ekong makes his return to full training today following a minor groin problem, but tomorrow’s Molineux encounter is likely to come too soon for the Nigeria captain.

Ismaïla Sarr (hamstring) remains unavailable to manager Roy Hodgson, but defender Nicolas Nkoulou (hamstring) is set to go through some final checks with his surgeon today before returning to full training in the next few days.
