Team News: Watford v Chelsea

Ismaïla Sarr has a knee ligament injury which will require a further scan in around a month’s time – whereupon the club will publish an update on his condition. Until then, he will continue to be monitored and assessed by the club’s medical team.

Nicolas Nkoulou will be sidelined until into the New Year, after picking up a hamstring injury towards the end of the Manchester United match.

Having been nursing a groin strain in recent games, the results of a scan late last week revealed that Ben Foster – who missed Sunday’s trip to Leicester City – will be out of action until January.

Adam Masina is expected to be fit for tomorrow’s match with Chelsea despite picking up a knock against the Foxes, however Emmanuel Dennis is a doubt after his withdrawal at the King Power Stadium.

Juraj Kucka will be assessed after missing Sunday’s game with a minor knock to the knee, while Ken Sema – also out with a knee injury – hopes to re-join training with the squad at the end of this week.

Francisco Sierralta (hamstring) is now running outside, and longer-term absentees Peter Etebo (quad) and Kwadwo Baah (ankle) are continuing to work at the London Colney training base on their rehabilitation programmes.
