Ahead of the enticing Sky Bet Championship encounter, we take a look at all the stats, facts and figures surrounding the new Head Coach’s debut fixture in the dugout for the Golden Boys.

Previous Meetings

Watford are winless in their last six league matches against QPR, since a 3-1 away triumph in December 2010 which ended Rangers’ 19-game unbeaten start to the 2010/11 season.

Queens Park Rangers are looking to complete a league double over Watford for the first time since the 1986/87 top-flight campaign, following a 3-2 win in the reverse fixture.

Both Watford and QPR have scored in each of their last four league meetings - only in February 1929 (seven games), May 1963 (five games) and December 2007 (five games) have there been longer such runs in this fixture in the Football League.

The home side have lost just one of their last six league meetings with Watford at Loftus Road (W2 D3).

Recent Form

The Hornets have won only one of their last eight league outings (D5 L2), with both those defeats coming to sides currently second (0-1 v Sheffield United) and third (0-2 v Middlesbrough) in the table.

QPR have failed to win any of their previous 12 league games (D5 L7), including defeats on each of the last five occasions, and conceding exactly three goals in four of those losses.

Watford’s last away league win against a London club was in January 2019, beating Crystal Palace 2-1 - since then the Hornets are winless in their last 17 such visits, losing 14 of them.

The Rs are winless in their last nine league games at Loftus Road, losing each of their last three and conceding 19 goals during that run (2.1 per game).

Opposition Stat Attack

Attacking midfielder Ilias Chair tops the rankings for shots on target (26), shots off target (27) and assists (7) within the QPR ranks. The Moroccan has also completed the most passes in the opposition’s half (849), crosses attempted (251) and dribbles completed (98).

Joint top scorers Lyndon Dykes and Joe Willock have notched six goals each, while Jimmy Dunne has attempted the most passes (1,604).

Defensively, centre-half Dunne tops the rankings for clearances (142) and blocks (20), with Sam Field top for tackles attempted (89).
