Reaction: Hurtado On Hornets Debut

By: Watford FC Staff

Hornets debutant Jorge Hurtado spoke to watfordfc.com after making a key contribution in today’s 2-1 win over Chesterfield in the Emirates FA Cup.

Introduced from the bench for his first outing in English football, Colombian forward Hurtado claimed an assist as Tom Dele-Bashiru scored the winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Read what Hurtado had to say below…

I feel very good. I am very happy because I made my debut and I made my contribution to the team tonight.

I felt good, ever since I stepped on the pitch. The result came, which is what we were hoping for – to come away with a victory. The only thing I missed tonight was a goal.

I either wanted to score a goal or make an assist, and I made an assist and gave my contribution. But all we really wanted today was to win the game on the pitch.

We felt like we had the game under control, and scoring a goal in the last second is a big gift for everyone – for the fans, for the team and for me.
